Sarah Massey

Sarah Massey, Principal
Sarah Massey is a public relations professional who specializes in shifting the mass media conversation to include human rights, public arts, and socially responsible businesses. Sarah founded Massey Media in 2005 to build the progressive movement with creative and strategic communications. Over the last four years, Massey Media’s work has grown to include arts representation, as well as public relations for businesses.

Before launching Massey Media, Sarah served as Media Specialist for the AFL-CIO, where her campaign experience included the national campaign to raise the minimum wage, the “Show us the Jobs Tour,” and Stop the F.T.A.A. Before specializing in communications and media, Sarah was an Urban Planner in New York City, where she worked with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a transit rider’s advocate. While in New York City, Sarah also worked as Communications Director for the environmental justice group West Harlem Environmental Action and as Communications Director for the National Employment Law Project. Watch Sarah work on WTTG Fox news and read Sarah’s story in the Washington Post, Dare to Dream.

Lacy MacAuley and Sarah Massey

Lacy MacAuley, Project Director
Lacy MacAuley is a global justice activist, antiwar activist, and environmentalist with a passion for amplifying the voices of those who otherwise would not be heard. With a BA in International Relations specializing in World Development Studies, she is committed to promoting local, living economies that place people, planet, and principle before profit. Her creative passion was ignited while working as news editor for her college newspaper, and she has kept the flame burning.

Lacy has done media relations work with groups such as Project Vote and ACORN, Global Justice Action, United for Peace and Justice, Jubilee USA, Mountain Justice Summer, and Working America (community affiliate of the AFL-CIO). Lacy is currently working with Massey Media on the Global Justice Media Project, a project to change the conversation around global justice and shift frames on the global economy.
