Sarah Massey
Sarah Massey, Principal
Sarah Massey is a public relations professional who specializes in shifting the mass media conversation to include human rights, the arts, and socially responsible businesses. Sarah founded Massey Media in 2005 to build the progressive movement with creative and strategic communications. Over the last four years, Massey Media’s work has grown to include PR for arts groups, artists, and businesses.
Before launching Massey Media, Sarah served as Media Specialist for the AFL-CIO, where her campaign experience included the national campaign to raise the minimum wage, the “Show us the Jobs Tour,” and Stop the F.T.A.A. Prior to specializing in communications and media, Sarah was an Urban Planner in New York City, where she worked with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a transit rider’s advocate. While in New York City, Sarah worked as Communications Director for the environmental justice group WE ACT for Environmental Justice and as Communications Director for the National Employment Law Project. Sarah is also the Founder of the Fabulous Women Biz Owners DC, a networking and support group.

Lubna Abu-Ulbah, Arts Director
Lubna Abu-Ulbah has been a team member at Massey Media since graduating from George Mason University with a degree in Communication/Public Relations. She has experience with campaigns for arts festivals, theaters, musicians, etc. She has worked with numerous clients including the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, musician Carolyn Malachi, artist Scott Brooks, & ArtStream Theater. Lubna excels at helping clients develop advertising collateral, identifying their potential target audience, and finding the best avenue to reach their customers. She utilizes her writing and press pitching skills at Massey Media, which have led to placements in such publications as The Washington Post, Washington City Paper, and WUSA9, to name a few. She is well versed about the arts industry and is continually seeking ways to be more educated and involved in projects she is passionate about. She has a love for the arts, and transfers that passion to her work in communication, which results in outstanding work for her clients. Lubna is always open to new clients and new fields in which to work with.
